Receives Follow-On Order from Melbourne, FL, October 24, 2001 - AirNet Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: ANCC), the technology leader in base station products for wireless communications, has been awarded a follow-on order by MBO Wireless, Inc. for additional base station equipment in support of their network expansion plan. This $800,000 order is the fourth phase of a $5.1 million contract and continuation of MBO’s growth and success in the PCS market. The additional AirNet equipment will allow the MBO Wireless team to expand their network and cover additional capacity requirements. The AirNet equipment includes additional broadband, software-defined AdaptaCell™ base stations, which will provide capacity within the urban areas.
