AirNet Announces Strategic Agreement With Symmetry Communications Systems To Provide GPRS/EDGE Infrastructure Solution
Melbourne, Florida -- AirNet Communications Corporation announced today that it has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Symmetry Communications Systems, Inc. of San Jose, CA to jointly provide a GPRS/EDGE high-speed data solution for GSM wireless operators.
AirNet and Symmetry will jointly offer AirNet's Base Station Subsystem (BSS) and Symmetry's Universal Wireless Server GPRS Support Node (UWS-GSN) as one of the first complete infrastructure solutions to provision GPRS, EDGE, and advanced 3rd Generation (3G) services. The two companies will cooperatively integrate, support, and market the solution to wireless operators worldwide.
